Biology for Innovators
Biology for Innovators is designed to serve students interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in biology. The course is structured to serve as an introduction to a variety of disciplines and associated careers in the biological sciences. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in a semester-long service-learning experience benefiting the local high school academic community. In consultation with biology faculty mentors and high school educators, students will select a biological concept or issue, conduct literature research on the topic, and use the “creator space” to design curriculum for area schools. Students will present their developed curriculum to cooperating area high schools.
