Drone Operator Flying Skills
This is a hands-on opportunity to begin flying your drone. The class will consist of one session of lecture, covering nomenclature, care and functioning of your drone. Next you will learn how to use the joystick, complete a pre-flight checklist and safety checks, and prepare for taking flight! Actual flight training includes camera and feature operations, using the Home feature, hovering & landing drills, maneuvering in the air, and obstacle avoidance. It is preferred students obtain a Part 107 certificate from the FAA prior to taking this course but not required. All student drones MUST be registered with the FAA for flight operations.
