Medical Language for the Business Professional 1
Designed to give the beginning medical business student a working knowledge of medical language and pharmacology. Explore how medical terms are formed, become familiar with the meaning of word roots, prefixes, and suffixes, and spell, define, and pronounce medical terms through understanding word components in a contextual format. Exhibit mastery in the use of medical dictionaries and reference materials and demonstrate medical language documentation and communication skills. Fundamentals are discussed in relationship to health practices by body system and by the body as a whole and includes the study of pathology, diagnostic tools, therapeutic procedures, and medical imaging. A focus on medical specialty pharmacology is also incorporated into each unit of study.
