Introduction to major chemical constituents of cells including proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids. The structure and kinetics of enzymes, reaction mechanisms and metabolic pathways are also included. Lab included.

This is a hybrid course. Hybrid courses combine the flexibility of online learning with in-class meetings. In-class time is reduced for hybrid courses because some of the course is taught online. Online expectations may include online discussions, small group work, self-testing exercises, and audio or video lectures. To be successful in a Hybrid course, students should: 1.
